Last night I got Lucky!   I went to PROM… The movie that is! Walt Disney’s Studio’s newest family fun filled movie.

Opening today (April 29, 2011) PROM (rated PG), Directed Joe Nussbaum (“Sydney White”, “Sleepover”), is a fun movie that will not only have your children laughing, but will keep Mom and Dad entertained too!

Last night I got the chance, thanks to Disney, to check it out prior to the regular public.  I went with Lolo from Crazy about My Baybah, and my friend Desi from Our Life with Prader-Willi Syndrome in Las Vegas.

None of us yet have any children who might have been excited to go with us, so we ventured out on a girls night at the movies, or I guess I should say headed out to PROM!

I really enjoyed the movie, I found it easily relate able, funny, sweet, and just plain fun.

The movie follows several students as they head towards the one event high school students either look forward to you, or want to escape from; PROM.

The relationship between Nova(Aimee Teegarden) and Jesse(Thomas McDonell) was reminiscent of 10 Things I Hate About You, and had me smiling through out the movie.

I loved the Character Lloyd (Nicholas Braun), and Rolo (Joe Adler).  They both were very humorous, and I think everyone goes to high school with one of them.

Something many teenagers can relate to is how the friendship changes between best friends Lucas and Cory (Nolan Solitto and Cameron Monaghan), when love Simone(Danielle Campell) enters into the equation.

And of course no PROM movie would be complete without your King and Queen(DeVaughn Nixon and Kylie Bunbury), but you will have to head out to the movie to see how that one turns out.

PROM runs 103 minutes long, and gets a family friendly 8/10 from Family and Life in Las Vegas.

What are you waiting for!  PROM is here – who are you going with?
